Up, Up and Away

I won't go on and explain how beautiful she was. I won't write for instance, how beautiful her eyes were or the fact that I loved the way she pouted her lips trying to bite the cheese off while eating a pizza. What I write today is a feeble attempt on my part to relive my memories of her.

My first memory of her dates all the way back to the summer of 2003(Delhi). On that fateful day I saw a girl dance and believe it or not...she could float! Believe me when I say that I am learned enough to know that the laws of Physics apply to us all and however much I would have loved it, we lesser mortals can't levitate. But that day when I saw her dance, my heart knew that the man from Krypton existed....and that someday he will deliver us from all evil and bring peace to this world.

Amen.

Alas my flirtation with Delhi never seem to last long. The few months I was there, I was so awestruck that I never had the balls to talk to her* and the fact that she was always surrounded by a gang of giggling girls didn’t help my cause either. I bid adieu to Delhi sometime in the middle of May, 2004; the idea was to pursue my engineering. I left the city with no idea if I would ever return and unlike a perfect story she was the last thing on my mind. Seemingly I had more important things to do in my life, for example own an island in the near future.

Thanks to an online social network I bumped into her again in 2007...after a lot of contemplation on my part a friend request was sent and was accepted. It was not my intention whatsoever to fall in love with her as I, (let’s say) had my fair share of female companionship. I guess it started off on a pretty awkward note (and the fact that she knew that I had crush on her didn’t help matters) and as I got to know her a little, this was my judgement:
Funny, sarcastic, rude and insanely stubborn...I loved every bit of it and the friendship that ensued is stuff of legends. Now it’s not every day that you get to befriend a distant cousin of Superman!

And then on August of 2008, amidst Recession I packed my bags for Delhi... my muse, my whore and my beloved. I had a world to conquer! I just forgot consider one thing though...that I just might fall in love.

                                                         To be continued...
*It seems that I did talk to her once. She told me that I complimented her on how well she danced and then I left as if my ass had caught fire. Well not one of the best first impressions I would say.

P.S: The man from Krypton refers to Superman...for those who are not into comics.
