A lot did happen over coffee

Macchiatto : A drink of espresso coffee with a small amount of steamed milk on top.
-Encarta Dictionary

Legend about Gabriel...the archangel, says that he teaches unborn children about Heaven while they are in the womb. Just before they are born, he touches them above the upper lip so they cannot remember what he told them until they die and thus Gabriel’s touch creates the philtrum, or cleft, between the upper lip and nose.

When I was kid my mother used to tell me stories about fairies and angels. Lands where magic was a way of life. Lands where horses could fly and stone could be turned into gold. She told me that if I looked hard enough I may one day find my own angel. I have always secretly longed for magic in my life and I still do.

Why the snippet of info on Gabriel? And why is a grown man talking of fairy tales?

To answer your question, the following was a part of to-do list before I turn 25:

  1. Be a rockstar with a huge female fan base.
  2. Be an indispensable professional for the organisation I work in(..and no I don't mean a hitman), preferably the CEO.
  3. Gift my parents a Helicopter.
  4. Own an Island, with my name inscribed on it(So that it could be seen from outer space, just like the Great wall of China).
  5. ..and fall in love with the most amazing woman in this world.

Couldn't be a Rock star..the damn guitar is too difficult to master and my hair grows radially outwards....there goes the huge Female fan base.

Indispensable professional? I was the right man in the wrong place at the wrong time(read recession)

A helicopter? Uhh...you know a little bit of financial mismanagement on my part.

Well I knew that I went a little overboard with the island thingie...should have been in “Things to do before I turn 30” list.

And did I fall in love? That I did.

The concept of love always fascinated me and over my 26 years of life I have written and re-written my definition of love and what being in love is all about.

Age 8: If you are super hero, everyone loves you...including girls.

Age 12: Love is saying “I love you” to the cutest girl

Age 16: Love is Coitus

Age 18: Love is when mom beats the shit out of you for “liking” a girl and not concentrating on studies.
Age 22: Love is sorrow, guilt, disappointment, bad grades and finally betrayal.

Age 24: Who gives a shit as long as money is my mistress...ehh?

2008 and I was introduced to the big bad RECESSION. I still wonder where did all the damn money go? Everything that could possibly go wrong...did go wrong.I was being payed peanuts, my job sucked. All my plans for higher studies had gone down the drain. I was living a lifestyle I couldn't afford and had to frequently borrow money from dad which I never returned.

And then when I least expected it...I fell in love.

                                                                                      Hopefully to be continued...

P.S: Macchiatto is just my favourite drink.
